I downloaded and installed E-sys3.40  , on my Latitude E6530 running Win10Pro .

Install seemed to go OK but when I opened E-sys(unattached to the car) it opened in Comfort Mode to an unpopulated screen and the following message:
****
"To flash the E/E-component WAVE-11it is necessary to execute the batch-file "E-Sys\lib\registry-wave11
The local admin rights are needed.

It is recommended to close all applications during the flash process.

Applications running parallel to E-Sys might affect the flash process.
This also applies to background processes like indexing or defragmentation services [G172]

                                            OK"

*****

Once I click the OK button the message goes away and is replaced by a warning to delete customer VINs for security reasons when done.

I can click the Connect icon and I get the list of connections available. There are 2 options for the F20 without direct but I don't know which one to select- does it matter?

Question...does the warning message above indicate a faulty install or do I need to do more to be able to safely use E-Sys 3.40?

I don't want to connect to my car until I am sure I have an install safe to use.
Hi,
Those messages you get are E-Sys safety disclaimers, so it means the application is installed correctly.
To successfuly connect with your car, you need to see Target selector Cheat Sheet list for you specific car and specific i-Step. Also you have to download and install Psdzdata Lite or Full (for Coding Lite /for Flashing Full) in order to connect safely with your car.
Hope I helped a bit.

Thanks qevalla. That's good. I already havePsdzdata lite installed. At this stage I'll stick to coding

I just need to get the Cheat Sheet for my F20.
