Hi,
With ISTA-P Loader 6.1F I have the option to use a K+DCAN cable (I don't have an ICOM. BMW will sell me one, but they don't come in stock anytime soon. And I really don't know what to buy in terms of a replica model), but it doesn't want to start ISTA/P 3.71. I have an earlier ISTA/P, which works fine but it's an older version.
The ISTA-P Loader that seems to start ISTA/P 3.71 is version 6.6, but it doesn't seem to want to let me use a K+DCAN cable.
Am I out of luck or is there a way to get ISTA/P 3.71 to work with 6.1F or some way of convincing 6.6 to let me use a K+DCAN cable?
Thanks in advance to all you gurus out there.
Have you tried the ISTA-P_Loader_fix?

Thank you for checking in, no I have not. I have no idea what that is or where to look. A quick google search for "ISTA-P_Loader_fix" doesn't bring me to anything obvious, at least not to me. I'd be much obliged if you'd let me know where to look and for what.
Try these fixes for ista p

Thanks, I will try these. Am I to assume that these will work with 3.71?
Thanks for your support. I tried using your suggested methods but I ended up breaking ISTA/P 3.71. I think I may need exactly the version you suggested, so I'll look for ISTA/P 3.69 and continue there.
For those of you ending up looking for a solution to this, ISTA/P 3.71 will not load with Loader 6.1F. It will only load with 6.6L. At first I was bummed out by this, but certain functions of ISTA/P should really not be done without a connection to the MOST interface. For this an ICOM is needed (at least I don't know of a different way). So to code or update software, you really should use an ICOM. This is as far as my research goes.

ISTA/P Loader 6.1 works fine with 3.71!
You only need to change in ISTA-P folder the "application.xml"
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<application name="Argonaut" distributionVersion="71.0.000"
change to
<application name="Argonaut" distributionVersion="3.71.0.000"
then start.
Works like a charme.
