Hi,

Boyfriend bought license for xHP Flashtool and maps, flashed the car (BMW 525D) but now the gear changes are jerky and can barely make it up hills. The gearbox has been changed to a 535D one, which he's assuming is the issue as it's not standard to the car map. Any tips are greatly appreciated Smile

I'm pretty sure when the gearbox has been changed the ecu map has been modified to work with the gearbox, now as you mentioned, when your bf flashed the ecu, xhp flashed the ecu thinking there is the original gearbox. I guess it needs to be adapted again to work with the gearbox you currently have.
Thankyou for your reply, I've tried to flash it again with e-sys as I did before he did it with xhp but it keeps coming up with an error. I'm currently having to download the newest pzdzdata again to see if that will work, to flash it again. The error I'm getting at the minute says Read SVT Reference failed (C912) NCIError Severity: 2051, Error Code 49184 READ_SVK_REFERENCES_FROM_VEHICLE doesn't map to an item.
