Wifi Antenna - BmwJet - 11-07-2021 Hello, so I am planning on doing an NBTevo update! I got Esys and everything needed to do an update. I don't have a battery charger so I will wait till i get a day off to be able to do it. I have apple carplay .bin file via usb I thought I should at least plug in the usb and just get regular non fullscreen carplay. Which turned out that I need to do an update because the .bin is for full screen. Well it didn't connect to car play it did show it and everything that comes along with it such as Screen Mirroring. Thing is I actually got my car's wifi connection to be found on my iPhone does that mean I have a wifi antenna already installed? I figured I probably do because I can see a signal. RE: Wifi Antenna - Rob - 11-07-2021 No that means nothing , you need a Wi-Fi antenna You can purchase WiFi antenna here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PFLWY77/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SGT7YRCJEW98J8TFAFYN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 If it’s not available for your region you can also buy similar on eBay or aliexpress etc Install video for antenna : https://youtu.be/pfwjjllSdO4i RE: Wifi Antenna - Rob - 11-07-2021 K878845 Definitely require a Wi-Fi antenna RE: Wifi Antenna - BmwJet - 11-08-2021 (11-07-2021, 05:59 PM)Rob Wrote: K878845 Definitely require a Wi-Fi antennaHey rob, any suggestions for battery tender for an NBT update on my car without killing the battery! I’ve heard that 50 amp power banks would work my auto store said it should be via obd2 port which I cant clearly do haha but what should I do in this situation! Thanks! RE: Wifi Antenna - elcolibri2000 - 04-08-2022 The wifi signal can be detected without antenna but the level will be low. An idea is to check from the rear seat, if the antenna is not installed, i guess that signal not detected.
