Alpina EGS Flash for G31 - Type Code needed - Frischy1990 - 01-09-2023
Hello together,
I have a BMW G31 540XD (JN71) from 02/2018 with a GA8HP75Z transmission by ZF.
I‘m planning to flash my EGS to Alpina software.
The procedure with E-Sys is clear for me (if needed I can share it).
But I would like to countercheck the type code of the Alpina counterpart.
By research I found the information, that the Alpina D5S Touring from 2018 has the type code (Typschlüssel) 5U20, but I‘m not 100% sure and don’t want to use the wrong one.
Can somebody confirm or correct this Information?

No I‘m not sure about 5U20. Found it on some Japanese sites.

5U20 and J1CB are not correct typcodes for G3x cars. FP calculation will end in errors.
Alpina D5S is based on 530xd. You can use typecode JN51.

Ive tried to calculate FP using the typecode(J1CB) i provided and got errors.
Try using JD11. I tested on fa from JN91 and it calculates fine.
Try calculating using both typecode and see the diffrence.

No. B5 has 8HP75.
