F20 Black Panel 6WA Retrofit - Tuerkay - 08-21-2020

Hello there,

i´m currently trying to swap my Sport Line 6WA with an Black Planel 6WA, but ran into an issue.
The Black Panel has an 35128WT and my R270+ Programmer somehow can´t read it properly and i can´t remove the VIN since the dump shows no VIN.
(Tried with a SOIC Clip and with desoldering it)
i couldn´t find anything useful on the net. Most topics are about the 35160 or 35080 chips.

Is it even possible to modify the 128WT with an R270 programmer?
Could it be an Resistor issue on the Programmer?
I need to swap an resistor if i want to read/write the 35080 properly. Could it be the same with the 128WT?

Milage is no Problem since the Panel only has 20k but my car is at 100k.

thank in advance

RE: F20 Black Panel 6WA Retrofit - Tuerkay - 09-04-2020

I was finaly able to fit that BP into my F20 MY2012 and it works.

i now have isses with the CAFD file. I´m working with Launcher Pro 2.8.2 and E-Sys 3.30.1
Looks like this version can´t handle the CAFD file of the Black Panel and only shows the trimmed adresses.

can someone with a newer combo tell me the adresses to these lines (if available)?

CAFD_00003C3B_001_007_009

BC_LEERZEILE
BC_MOTORTEMP_ENABLE
SLD_ENABLE
ST_ECAL_TIMEOUT
ST_ECAL_ALIVE
ECO_RW_DIGITAL_ENABLE

Didn’t you guys struggle to opening that cluster? Cause i did.. ?

RE: F20 Black Panel 6WA Retrofit - Tombo - 04-05-2021

I've done many of them. It's worst bmw cluster to work with.
Starting from disassembly, removing needles, assembly needles and setting them.
And last 35128WT chip. Only few programmers work with them.
I provide virginise services if anybody needs it in uk

Thank you.  Awesome

RE: F20 Black Panel 6WA Retrofit - nadeem - 11-20-2022

I have done one recently. I used cgpro to read and write eeprom, had to desolder the chip..coding wise I used my autel maxsys ultra which is super easy
