ISTA Repair Guides without VIN - bmwguy1982 - 03-19-2025 Hello everybody, I recently updated ISTA from version 4.2x (I don't remember the exact version; it was from around 2019) to 4.49.23, and I noticed that an important feature is missing. The access to repair guides through the selection of specific vehicle characteristics, like E series, year of production, engine, etc., is no longer available. It seems that access to repair guides, tightening torque specifications, and all other relevant documents is only possible after entering a valid VIN. Since I am not always connected to the vehicles and would like to view the information in advance, offline, and without knowing the VIN, this is a feature that I really miss. Is there a workaround for accessing this information without knowing the VIN? Screenshots of both versions are attached. The language is German, but I think it will be clear what I mean. kind regards,
