G01 full screen CarPlay help - zlexmda - 04-08-2025
Hi everyone,
I have a 2018 X3 G01 with CarPlay, but it’s not running in full screen. My current media software version is MB-006.001.044, and I’d like to update iDrive using ė-šÝ§.
From what I understand, I need to update the iDrive software first. I already have a laptop with several BMW tools installed, but I’m pretty sure some of them need updates.
Can someone help me with this? Or maybe share some benefits of updating the iDrive system?

media software version doesn't help , take a picture of your Navigation map version and post here

You need propper PSU to update the iDrive

If your software is up to date above N. If not you must update software headunit to Y first
Head Unit -> 3000 -> CARPLAY_FULLSCREEN -> aktiv

To Check Firmware Version – Go to Navigation -> Press Options Button -> Go to Settings -> Go to Position & Version History -> Check Version –
