Idrive Controller - GoFast - 04-26-2025

Hey everyone,
I have a 2011 BMW 550i. On RealOEM, my original part number for the controller is 65829206444.
I bought a replacement off Amazon: 9206444 Multimedia Switch Controller Joystick (listed as compatible with BMW 5, 7, X3 Series F07, F10, F11, F01, F02, F03, F04, F25 Hybrid 2007–2017).
Everything works except the 360 parking camera and backup camera buttons.
Has anyone run into this before?
Is there a way to fix this — like coding, wiring, or maybe a different part?
Thanks in advance!

You need a genuine product, not these fake controllers.

what has the controller to do with the camera buttons ? , I find it a bit strange .

what happens if you disconnect the controller , will the camera button works again ? , if yes then this controller is not suitable for your car . but again I find no relation between the controller and the other buttons in the center console .

could it be that you didn't connect the connector of the side panel buttons while installing the new controller ?

On the 2011 there is a 10 pin connector wire 5 and 6 go to the 360 view and PDC

Just looked at it again in the wiring diagram , 99% is the wrong controller for your car , there are 2 versions of this controller and I think this aftermarket controller is the newer version which doesn't work in your car .

as per the wiring diagram , v2 controller although it has the 10pin connector , but it uses only 4 pins ( + / - and can low - can high ).

as mentioned in post #2 , you need an original controller according to your VIN. Actually those aftermarket ones are not cheaper as a good condition oem used controllers, so I would go for a used oem controller than aftermarket new one.
