I3 SME coding - LB2020 - 08-09-2025 Hi, need assistance with coding a used battery pack to a BMW i3. Replaced my 60ah with a 120ah and need to match the new SME to my car. I have esys and the same PSDZdata as what is already on my car. The 120ah battery is on a older software version than my car. I have found 2 solutions that I think may work but not 100%. Option 1. Detect CAF for SWE for SME then update with latest software Option 2. Use tool32 to read old SME ISN and copy to new SME. Am I looking at the right options or is there more to be done? RE: I3 SME coding - ek1978 - 08-09-2025 You can't virgin used SME with normal BMW tools like Esys or ISTA+, you need to read the Eprom with external tool like VVDI MULTI PROG or Memtool. |
