Mini Cooper R55 / R56 diagnostic software - valshin - 11-12-2025
Hello dear experts!
I'm an experienced mechanic, but a complete noob in BMW diagnostics (though have Foxwell scanner with BMW soft on it)
I have 3 mini coppers R55 2009, R56 2007, R55 2014 (n14 / n18 engines)
Have both K DCAN and ENET cables.
Which software would you recommend to start from?
I installed ÏÑÞÀ 5.0.6 - don't see Minis there for selection
Do I need ÎŜ†Ä? Which version?

1- ÏÑÞÀ is not for newbies , so forget it ( mostly it is in German ).
2- Rxx Mini is based on BMW Exx Series , so Enet cable is not compatible , you need at least a good D-Can cable or best case is BMW ÏçØɱ
3- you can look for a very old ÎŜ†Ä+ version which can support D-Can cable , something like V4.39 of even older, which is more than enough for older cars.
4- If you just want to read error codes and clear then , you can install Dr. Gini , it supports D-Can cable.

I got both D CAN cable on FTDI chip and ENET cables, ordered them together.
