Trying to code Lane Change Assist on G30 - bavees - 03-14-2026
Hi All,
Today I tried to code in lane change assistant to my G30. As far as I can see I have everything needed for it to work but I can't get it to do so.
My main issue is that I can't figure out what the full requirements are in order to make it work. In newtis I see the car must have 5AU. Mine had previously been retrofitted with 5AT.
But I can't figure out if I'm missing some hardware and/or FSC to make it work.
From a coding perspective I have:
SAS2:
C_SWA_Vorhanden -> True
HU_NBT2
Spurwechselassistent -> Aktiv
I have also made sure that all of my "Land_Aktiv" parameters are set to FF,FF,FF,FF (i did it when I activated yield warning).
I was using esys 22.06 with ultra launcher but I wanted to try to the BimmerUtility feature where you change the FA and it will re-code what is needed to apply that change.
So I replaced 5AT with 5AU and let BU re-code what it thought was needed (ACSM5, BDC_BODY2, DKOMBI2, DSC3, HU_NBT2, KAFAS4, RS, SAS2) but unfortunately that just broke all my assist and they all disappeared from my menu (only pedestrian warning was left). So I restored my backup and VO and still looking at what I'm missing.
Would appreciate if anyone has tips on what I'm doing wrong or missing to activate this. Thanks!
