Problem connecting to E46 and E60 with genuine ICOM
#1
Hello everyone,
Thanks to you and your very usefull posts i managed to install the BMW software kit ( ISTA 4.56.30 with PSDZdata 4.57.30 and all the StandardTools with EDIABAS 7.6.0 ) . I haven't received any errors when installing the kits and the antivirus hasn't reported anything to catch my attention.
The problem is that when i try to connect to my E46 320d and to a friend's E60 525d the software can identify the vehicle with VIN number and everything but when it comes to doing a scan it won't identify any of the ECU's, they show up on the tree list but i can't comunicate with them. I'm trying to use a genuine ICOM Next interface on it, and it detects both permanent 12V and ignition 12V lines . I attached all the info that i think they might give you an idea about the origins of my problem.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
Thank you!

Thank you again for your help!!!! I had to update it one version by one until i booted up ista and it showed the latest firmware update for the version i installed. After the the update was done everything is working like a charm!!! I was a little bit frustrated because i've been told that the interface is damaged if it doesn't communicate with K-line ECUs so it was a releaf for me. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
