8KA to 8KL coding
#1
Hi everyone,

I want to change service interval from 30000km/24 months to the 15000km/12 months.
I saw on few pages that only milage will change with this coding but time won't, maybe it'll change after service has been done.

Can somebody cormfirm that both things will change after service?
Also can somebody share me step by step for this coding, as I have only experience with BimmerCode and not with Esys or other expert tools?

Best regards

FDL coding for 15TKM 12Month interval: for Esys or Bimmercode / expert mode.
KOMBI > 3009 CBS_Konfiguration  > CBS_WEG_FAKTOR_FZGCHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4
KOMBI > 3009 CBS_Konfiguration  > CBS_ZEIT_FAKTOR_FZGCHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4

Then there is a coding in the DME which depends on the engine
Here i have 2 different BMW models as examples:
320D/420D ----- DME__DDE7xx > 3701 OHNE_ZEITLIMIT  > OWI_NEU = wert_10
328i -------DME > 3320 BSU-Config > OEL-Config = Wert_17
After coding reset CBS with trip button in cluster

I have F20 PreLCI 116D with n47(2.0) engine. Do you know which setting in DME I need to change?

Also after all of that, do I need to restart CBS or mark service as done?

I believe the code DME is the same as the 320D -> DME__DDE7xx > 3701 OHNE_ZEITLIMIT  > OWI_NEU = wert_10
Yes after coding you need to do a CBS reset.

If you want to change the FA with Esys this are the codes:
VO coding for 15TKM 12Month interval
1. Read FA > save FA
2.  Click edit button > the vieuw will automatically change to FA-editor
3.  Open folders down to SALAPAelement > Edit FA list and edit from 8KA to 8KL (or what service interval you want)
4. Right click top FA and calculate FP > save
5.  Select Expert mode > click VCM
6. Load your saved FA file > right click on FA and calculate FP again
7. Select VCM Master tab > click Write FA FP > New FA will be written to the car.
8. Go back to coding window > activate FA > VO code  DME, KOMBI (select ECU not the CAF and code)
9. Reset CBS with trip button in cluster or with Ista

Service intervals
8KA OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 30TKM 24MON

8KH OILSERVICEINT 20000KM 18MON
8KK OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 15TKM 18MON
8KL OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 15TKM 12MON
8KM OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 12TKM 12MON
8KP OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 8TKM 12MON
