6WB Coding Mostly Ok
#1
I just completed the 6WB retrofit. Cluster was brand new, and coding was a pain, but only because it was my first time using E-sys. Ultimately got it done with no errors, but the only problem I have now is that my service intervals are all messed up. My car tells me when I turn it on that my service is past due. I even noticed in the MY BMW app that it’s off from what the actual interval is. If this is normal I guess I’ll deal with it, but I wanted to check with the group here to see if I may be overlooking something minor before I go cough up the money to have it re-coded so I can be sure everything is all good. I read that getting the 6WB fully programmed to the car is better than coding it so that it updates properly with the BMW servers. Is this true? If so, where should I go to have that done? Thanks.

Flashing a new 6WB is always recommended so that long VIN is written to it. just coding will only write shot VIN and could cause such issues.
Also, if your car came with basic kombi, did you add the MOST from HU?
