Coding Alpina B7 Transmission on G12 750
#1
Hello all,

I am trying to code the Alpina B7 Transmission on to my G12 750 (2016) vehicle. I was following along some guides/videos from my understanding, I am to input the vehicle code base on VIN decode (7F13 for B7 in USA for G12) and the production year (which in my case I found a VIN with production year 1216). I input those into the appropriate FA subfolder group FA>FZAuftrag>Type. The default ones for my vehicle were Vehicle code 7F23 and Production 0715. ISTA shows I-Level at S15A-22-07-530. I am using E-Sys 3.40.2 and latest PSdZData Lite 4.39.20. The car is connected via ENET cable using the VIN target. I-step target is S15A-22-07-534.

When I right click FA and hit Calculate FP after inputting options 920 and 9XA into the SALAPA-Element folder, I get the following error:

"No FP could be generated from FA "". [C002]
Not all elemnts of the FA were found in the FA2FP: Type code 7F13 Zeitkriterium 1216
[72]"

When reverting the Vehicle Code back to my origional 7F23 type and 0715 production date, the calculate FP runs fine, with the 920 and 9XA within the SALAPA-Element folder. I have not written anything to the FA after encounter this issue, and am curious, why am I getting this error? I'm not terribly experienced with E-sys so forgive me if I'm missing an obvious issue.

Dont use the alpina typecode. Use typecode of the model that the alpina is based on.

Thank you kindly for your reply! So in my case, I should be leaving the TypeCode as the current default 7F23 which is my G12 2016 750i x-drive, or in other words, the G12 chassis the Alpina B7 is based on? Add in the 920,9XA into the SALAPA-Element only and write?

Yes. B7 is based on the 750ix so use your typecode and add the two salapa

I dont know if there is a difference that will occur when using the long wheelbase model. Here is typecode for the G11 7B03 750i xDrive. Use both and compare the difference in the svt soll.

I apologize as my E-Sys level is quite beginner. When you say compare in the SVT soll, can you please explain what you mean by that? I do know that all 2016 G12 750i x-drive's sold in the US are Long wheelbase as standard, but do not have that L designation here, if that matters at all.

Calculate svt soll using your typecode. calculate another svt soll using typecode for the G11 7B03 750i xDrive. Check between the two if there is any difference in EGS. If no diffrence then use any

You will also need psdzdata full since you will have to flash the EGS using the new svt

Thanks for the tip!

I have a question. If my vehicle production date is originally 0715, and RealOEM says B7 earliest build date for the G12 chassis is 1215, would I need to make the I-step (shipm) build reflect 1215 instead of 0715, and the I-step (target) to latest S15A build?

Change the build level to 1215. Ilevel Shipment i would keep it same. I level target will be according to the psdzdata you downloaded
