Ctek Battery
#1
Hello,

Can't seem to find the answer anywhere but was wondering if a CTEK MXS 5.0 can be used as a safe battery maintainer for performing I-Step updates?

Kind Regards,

Kind Regards,
This unit outputs 5amps. You can’t flash with this. You need upwards of 60/70amps.
I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

Thanks for the reply, can you recommend a good unit? How about connecting the car to another car which is running?

Thanks.

I use GYS Flash 100.12 and I can recommend it https://www.gys.fr/pdf/datasheet/uk/029071.pdf

Much better price and quality than CTEK (I have them also, MXTS40 and MXS25)

Not bad for £500+ I'm an amateur home user. I was personally thinking of hooking a battery from my E92 to my F32 and leave the E92 running whilst flashing???

you can buy server power supply 12v and make your own power supply. you can find even manual how to make this. Because many people are using home made power supply. because if you wanna use for your own use, make your power supply, but if use for commercial buy gysflash Smile or buy from aliexpress MST-90+
added manual for home made power supply. This week i will receive my server psu and will make Smile total price will be 70euro.

This is the route I'm going to go down! Haggling Ebay sellers for cheap old PSU's.

But don't buy low voltage, because you will have low Ampers for example if you buy 700w and you put for 14v 700/ 14= 50AMP so you if you buy 1000w uou will get 71AMP.

i ordered 1200w in day i will receive Smile
