LCI Climate Control (IHKA) Retrofit Help PLEASE
#1
Hello all, can someone help me with my Climate Control Retrofit issue?

I recently retrofitted my 2007 e60 (530i) with CIC unit from a e90. The retrofit seems to have gone well for the most part (all available functions are working)

I think decided to retrofit the climate control module with one from an LCI donor car. I did this by cutting the wire at pin 21 connecting the side going into the harness to ground and the side going into the connector (Blue Connector) to 12v+ to stop the radiator fan from running at max speed.

After completing that and adding $534 to the car's VO my A/C no longer gets cold, it's like the setting is somewhere in the middle between cool and hot but more on the hot/warm side. No matter how low I turn the dial it never blows cold air. It's as if the compressor is not being triggered (I ran some diag with ISTA+ and it say "ECU responding properly")

I think it's something with the coding, but I don't know what exactly and hoping that someone on here who has done this before can help.

HELP PLEASE summer is coming

Any help is appreciated

Try setting kompressorkupplung to nicht_aktiv in IHKA module.

I recently retrofitted LCI climate control into my 2006 E60 M5, here’s what I had to do to get it to work properly:

1. Take apart the LCI climate control and solder a wire between pin 21 and the 12v power. This was the thing that made my AC work again, everything else below was unrelated.
Example:

2. Remove pin 21 from the large blue connector on IHKA and ground it to something (can splice into pin 26 which is a ground)
3. Make sure your vehicle order date is at least 2007/03, and you have the option code for automatic climate control
4. Set VIN in IHKA (climate control module) by flashing it in WinFKP with write UIF enabled.
5. Default code the IHKA
6. Disable the coding option for solar sensor over CAN bus to get rid of solar sensor can bus error.

Have you tried activating the compressor with inpa/ista?
Have you checked your freon level?
