ISTA 4.52 Error with full PSzD - sec4diag.otherexceptions

Hello fabulous people,

I've been working with the 4.52 ISTA build from here, with the full PSzD data installed. While the program works well without the programming option enabled (using "BMW.Rheingold.Programming.Enabled = False" in the registry), when I set this to "True" i get an popup error shortly after initiating a full scan showing the "sec4diag.otherexceptions" message.


The only way I have managed to get round this, is to set "BMW.Rheingold.OnlineMode = true". Once this is set, all works perfectly well.....

Has anyone else seen this at all?

Re-download the file I posted. I updated the torrent as it was missing the executionbreak file for the installer. Also added some more languages.

I have the same problem. I am using ENET cable. At first I did not have the problem but after making changes in Reg edit Rheingold files it poped up and I can not get it back anymore. Now all the time sec4diag.otherexceptions
At first I had also another popup connected via ENET and it connects and shows all vehicle info but then comes up with 'The programming system could not be initialised. The ISTA installation may be damaged or incorrectly configured. Reinstall ISTA. If problems persist, contact local support.'
What changes are needed to make in registry or some confic files? 

Installion directory is C:\EC-APPS\ISTA

Hey everyone, new to coding and am just downloading the new version of Ista provided by a fellow member ir655 (thanks again). My question is though, it says the download is only 30gb which the ISTA version i had previously was over 100gb, so is this really all the gb it takes or am i missing something?

Hi, I don't think that path will work, as you've specified a different disk ( D: ) to where the ISTA program is being run from. Relative paths using the ..\..\ syntax will only work when the data is on the same drive as the application.

Please try setting the BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath to a full path, such as D:\mydata\PSdZ\data_sei

Hi, this version includes the lite version of the PSDZ data, for diagnostics only. It's much smaller than the full version with programming enabled. If you do need programming, you download the full version and graft it into the ISTA installation here. 

Should be a couple of easy registry tweaks, if you need full programming options.

Thanks for the info. I just need it to do basic diagnosis, clear codes, and learn new headlight tms module i just installed on my driver's side headlight.

Ich habe das gleiche Problem. Ich verwende ein ENET-Kabel. Anfangs hatte ich das Problem nicht, aber nachdem ich Änderungen an der Registrierung und den Rheingold-Dateien vorgenommen hatte, tauchte es auf und ich kann es nicht mehr beheben. Jetzt ständig sec4diag.otherexceptions. Zuerst
hatte ich auch ein weiteres Popup, das über ENET verbunden war. Es verbindet sich und zeigt alle Fahrzeuginformationen an, aber dann kommt die Meldung: „Das Programmiersystem konnte nicht initialisiert werden. Die ISTA-Installation ist möglicherweise beschädigt oder falsch konfiguriert. Installieren Sie ISTA neu. Wenn das Problem weiterhin besteht, wenden Sie sich an den lokalen Support.“
Welche Änderungen müssen in der Registrierung oder in einigen Konfigurationsdateien vorgenommen werden? 

Das Installationsverzeichnis ist C:\EC-APPS\ISTA

Hallo, ich glaube nicht, dass dieser Pfad funktioniert, da Sie ein anderes Laufwerk (D angegeben haben als das, von dem das ISTA-Programm ausgeführt wird. Relative Pfade mit der Syntax ..\..\ funktionieren nur, wenn sich die Daten auf demselben Laufwerk wie die Anwendung befinden.

Bitte versuchen Sie, den vollständigen Pfad für BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath festzulegen, z. B. D:\mydata\PSdZ\data_sei.

Meine Frage ist jedoch: Der Download ist nur 30 GB groß, während meine vorherige ISTA-Version über 100 GB groß war. Sind das wirklich alle benötigten GB oder übersehe ich etwas?

Hallo, diese Version enthält die Lite-Version der PSDZ-Daten, ausschließlich für Diagnosezwecke. Sie ist deutlich kleiner als die Vollversion mit aktivierter Programmierung. Falls Sie Programmierung benötigen, laden Sie die Vollversion herunter und integrieren Sie sie hier in die ISTA-Installation. 

Für den vollen Programmierbedarf sind ein paar einfache Anpassungen in der Registrierung erforderlich.

Danke für die Info. Ich brauche es nur für eine grundlegende Diagnose, das Löschen von Codes und das Erlernen des neuen Scheinwerfer-TMS-Moduls, das ich gerade in meinem Fahrerscheinwerfer installiert habe.

Ein paar einfache Anpassungen in der Registrierung erforderlich.....
Wie kann ich dir Anpassungen machen??? Kannst du mich helfen????

Hello all, i tried to code my new front strut for F11/2015 but when is calculating execution plan it trying to go online and gave me calculation error. Any 1 can help me please?
I have online mode set to false, programming set to true, the last sdp and blp active.
