ISTA+ versions - worth updating from 4.39.20?
#1
Hi everyone,

I'm currently have ISTA+ version 4.39.20. It seems to work fine for my 2011 F10 550ix, I'm using an ENET cable and have been able to update my control units and everything.

I'm just wondering if there is any reason for me to update to a more recent version of ISTA. I'm currently fighting VANOS issues and I noticed that the different test procedures have a version number... I doubt that there are updates for my 14-year-old car but... maybe?

Are there any user-interface improvement that come with the newer version, like 4.55.x?

Also, does anyone happen to know if there is an easy way to get to VANOS specific procedures, like "flushing" and things like that? Depending on the current fault code I can get to these specific things but I can't find a way to just do them manually.

Any particular reason to go to 4.5.20?

Maybe I'll install a second instance of windows and put 4.5.20 on that.
