E60 active steering DELETE
#1
Hello, I would need help with deleting AFS active steering
My car is E60 m57 170kw 2005
I already code out $217 from VO and updated ecu DSC, KOMBI, CAS, LMA, SZL in ncs expert
And did dsc adjustment of steering the angle sensor in the SZL and dsc sensor adjustment

Now I still have 5e2c fault
And car warning signals of dsc malfunction hand brake and start asistance and servotronic fault.

Fault 5e2c can be deleted but will come back with every start

unfortunately its not a matter of just removing $217 with coding and call it a day ,

ABS module is different - Steering rack is different. so long story short , do the hardware swap part first , then you can look at the software side.

In addition to removing codes. You also need to replace or flash abs module (HAVENT TRY this) with non afs type, then unplugged the ecu under the passenger seat. This work for me in some E60 Ive done.

Intermittent issue after delete, the turning became sensitive, dsc will flash, then will eventually be gone.
