Need Help with Coding BMW MGU Head Unit - Missing SWEs in PSDZData
#1
Question
Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on programming a BMW MGU head unit and have hit a roadblock. When attempting to program the MGU, I receive an error message stating: "Missing SWEs in PSDZData in directory" (please see the attached photo for reference). I have deselected all other control units and only want to program or re-flash the head-unit as it seems corrupted.

Here's my setup:

• BMW G80 modules configured as a bench setup (no vehicle).

• Modules included: BDC, FZD, KOMBI, and MGU with CIC touch screen. MGU and BDC are from the same donor vehicle.

• Using E-Sys with full PSDZData.

This bench setup is physically missing some of vehicle's control units, which might be causing this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or know how to resolve this error?

Any guidance or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

I fixed the MGU head-unit with Bimmerutility. I clicked on the HU and then pressed the VO coding button.
