NEED HELP!! ISTA+ 4.52.40

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and it's my first time using ISTA.

I’m running into an issue with ISTA after adding programming data.

Setup:
- ISTA version: 4.52.40 (working fine before)
- Connection: ENET (E-Series DK CAN cable also tested)
- PSdZData path: C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\PSdZ\data\psdzdata
- Using ISTA-Patcher 2.3.5

Problem:
ISTA was working perfectly for diagnostics and fault clearing.
After adding PSdZData and modifying the registry entries for programming (BLPDataPath, SDPDataPath, SWIDataPath), I started getting this error when connecting to the car:

**Sec4Diag.OtherExceptions (Powered by ISTA-Patcher 2.3.5)**

The vehicle is detected correctly, but connection for diagnostics or programming fails.

What I found:
- My PSdZData folder is missing the **SWI** folder.
- I’m currently using the **Lite version** of PSdZData (contains mainseries, swe, mapping, etc., but no swi).
- If I disable “Programming” in ISTA settings, everything works again (diagnostics and fault reading are fine).

Questions:
1. Is the missing SWI folder the direct cause of this error?
2. Can I fix this temporarily by creating a dummy SWI folder, or do I need the full PSdZData package?
3. If yes, can someone confirm which full PSdZData version matches ISTA 4.52.40 or 4.55.21?
4. Is ISTA-Patcher 2.3.5 still compatible with ISTA 4.52+ or should I upgrade to 2.3.8 / 2.4.0?

It’s strange that everything works perfectly until programming is enabled, so it seems clearly related to PSdZData structure or Patcher compatibility.

I have a Laptop with an i5 8th gen and 8gb of ram. Is this enough? Without the psdz registry entry i can Connect with My vehicle. With the psdz entry i have a error. Which of My config is wrong? Can you send me your config?

4.55.40 is good if your laptop can handle it. Otherwise, 4.53.40, or 4.54.xx. I'd suggest the latest psdz. This should fix your issues. Swap the previous psdz's with the new one and you're set
