I wonder if anyone here has suggestions on how to troubleshoot this.
This is what happened;
Waterpump failed - was replaced.
Car slipped on jack and damaged EPS motor.
A water leak was also discovered a the top of windscreen where the bonding had failed (may not be relevant).
At this point the EPS motor obviously needed replacing.
80A EPS fuse in boot blown - replaced.
Replaced EPS motor only, PS was back but intermittent.
Then I replaced complete steering rack as I thought maybe that was damaged too. EPS better but not correct.
So this is where I am now;
When you turn the wheel the force seems to vary. e.g. in the video I'm quarter turning the wheel and it is very easy, but when I get to the bottom it gets harder. The EPS is working the whole time but it isn't smooth to turn.
There also seems to be a problem with the CAN line. Sometimes modules dont respond, and when you read live data e.g. vehicle speed it flicks between on and 'not available' as if there is a communication problem. This is the same with every module.
