Trying to code my i3s 2019

Dear friends,

I have recently purchased a BMW i3s 2019 and I want to code it to activate VIM and Apple Car Play fullscreen (I have apple car play activated)

I have downloaded E-Sys 3.30.1 with Launcher Pro 2.8.1.155 and PsdZdata 4.47.20 Lite

I can connect my car with the E-sys, but when I try to "read coding data" it doesnt work.


Could please somebody help me with this?

Forget about those outdated versions of Esys and Launcher that you are using , they are no longer effective with the recent PSD versions.

Also your Headunit software version needs to be checked to know if full screen carplay is possible or not .

Post a picture of your navigation map version , there also the details of your headunist software version

Yes exactly , you have the latest available software for BMW EVO headunit ( NBTevo_Yxxxxxx ) , so coding Carplay full screen is very easy .

Just search for CARPLAY_FULLSCREEN and set it to " AKTIV "

Yes, but with what software? I have purchased an ENET cable, but as I wrote on my first post, I'm unable to reach that code with the software I'm using.

you need Esys - Bimmer Utility launcher - either FULL PSD if you are planning to do coding and Software update , or BLP ( PSD-Lite ) which is only coding .

Bimmer Utility has its own website for registration and ordering , the rest are available in the forum.

HOW TO : google is your best friend as always.

But that has a 109$ cost... There is nothing free to do that? I only want VIM and full screen for my CarPlay.

you just wrote in your first post that the free option didn't work with you , there is no better free option than that 10 years old Launcher 2.8 unfortunately .

I would offer you a moded version of bimmercode app , but it is only for Android devices. It is free of charge and works perfectly fine for small coding jobs.
