Hello guys,

Probably this instruction/tutorial will be usefull for someone.

Instalation:
- Unpack all archives
- Rename Rheingold folder to ISTA from the ISTA 4.49.40 Standalone and copy to C:\EC-APPS\
- Copy files from folders SQLiteDBs_ENGB and SQLiteDBs_OTHER into C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\SQLiteDBs\
- Copy folder psdzdata from folder data_BLP into C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\PSdZ\data\
- Run Reg x64.reg

- Create shortcut to file C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\TesterGUI\bin\Release\ISTAGUI.exe with name BMW Group ISTA

If there is error after installing:
A fault occured the last time ISTA was installed, which leads to data inconsistencies.
To rectify this, open ISTA launcher and carry out a repair installation.


Add this part to the from Reg x64.reg file or directly change parameters Registry Editor:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTALauncher]
"BMW.TricTools.IstaLauncher.InstallationStatus"="InstallationComplete"

I have followed those steps (except that I've copied folder "psdzdata" inside "C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi\", and not "data" as that was the folder registered in the Reg x64.reg
I've then tried to read vehicle data using VIN, I input a VIN, click "Open operation", the vehicle information page renders for 1-2 seconds (but with no value filled, just the placeholders) and then redirects back to the "Operations - new - vin" page. I have not yet tried to connect it to the car and read data directly from the car.

What's the reason this might happen?

Edit1: Same issue when connecting directly to the car via ENET.

Edit2: I deleted ISTA, cleaned up the registries, redownloaded, reconfigured and now lookup by VIN works. I will test on Sunday if the car connection now works.
