ISTA 4.52 Error with full PSzD - sec4diag.otherexceptions

Hi!
I have the same problem. I am using ENET cable. At first I did not have the problem but after making changes in Reg edit Rheingold files it poped up and I can not get it back anymore. Now all the time sec4diag.otherexceptions
At first I had also another popup connected via ENET and it connects and shows all vehicle info but then comes up with 'The programming system could not be initialised. The ISTA installation may be damaged or incorrectly configured. Reinstall ISTA. If problems persist, contact local support.'
What changes are needed to make in registry or some confic files? 

Installion directory is C:\EC-APPS\ISTA

Hi, I don't think that path will work, as you've specified a different disk ( D: ) to where the ISTA program is being run from. Relative paths using the ..\..\ syntax will only work when the data is on the same drive as the application.

Please try setting the BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath to a full path, such as D:\mydata\PSdZ\data_sei

Hey everyone, new to coding and am just downloading the new version of Ista provided by a fellow member ir655 (thanks again). My question is though, it says the download is only 30gb which the ISTA version i had previously was over 100gb, so is this really all the gb it takes or am i missing something?

Hi, this version includes the lite version of the PSDZ data, for diagnostics only. It's much smaller than the full version with programming enabled. If you do need programming, you download the full version and graft it into the ISTA installation here. 

Should be a couple of easy registry tweaks, if you need full programming options.

Thanks for the info. I just need it to do basic diagnosis, clear codes, and learn new headlight tms module i just installed on my driver's side headlight.
