I was updating the headunit to attempt to solve a bluetooth connectivity issue but the laptop i was using bluescreened at the wrong time and caused the update to hang right on the bootloader flashing step

2. Edit TAL and and change protocol BTLD to UDS
3. Flash only bootloader with Esys 3.27 first (takes longtime)
4. Then flash swfl with normal protocol
No response over UDS, the entire unit does not respond over any port even on a bench setup best i can do is see the blue flashing screen and I had spoke to will over at bimmerretro LA and he confirmed after remoting into my laptop that its SOL and id need to either find someone to help me reflash the v850 eprom or do it myself.
This all said i do have an nbt evo unit that will flashed for me in the car however I guess I'm either just old or nostalgic and prefer the nbt over evo. Carplay is cool and all but i hate how clunky it is on ID5/6 to use for navigation or selecting playlists in apple music considering if i dont open my music app on my phone myself it almost always says connection timed out for whatever reason in the idrive screen but works fine once i manually open the app and select my playlist from my phone. I just think ID6 carplay sucks and was a last min addition to make people happy but i think ID7 carplay works great given the screen is actually within a reasonable persons reach. But either way i digress lol
