I have replaced driver IC's on similar LM's with similar faults and the faults have been fixed. However some LM's have been know to catch fire, although rare, it does happen. The driver IC's can be difficult to source, but then a repair is way cheaper than a new LM and will not need coding back to the car.
Since last year I have these errors.
They appear sporadically and disappears also.
My car has interior lights and exterior lights permanently on
I tried to change the switch but it hasn't resolved the issue.
I checked the voltage of the dimmer in ista and when I change it manually it change the voltage also. But the dimmer interior light remains the same.
Also when I activate the fog lights or I move the switch it doesn't change anything.
Sometimes it magically repairs itself, works for some months and the error appears back.
I can t find someone with these type of errors to give me an ideea what should I check.
If more information are needed I can provide them.
Ista tells that it communicates well with the LM
Please help me. Thanks.
