Same thing happened to me....
it seems to me that my phone sends to the car all the contacts in all existing accounts that he have, independetly if they were selected to be shown in the cellphone....
i removed 2 of the non contact showing account and the dots from the CIC contact menu disapeard...
all back to normal
maybe a number of contacts limit that messes with the menu ?
