PsdZdata not showing
#1
Hi all,

I recently did a software update on my 2015 f22 m235i. The software update has left me with a programming abort in my head unit( NBT EVO ).

I am now trying to flash my head unit using E sys 3.30.1 with launcher pro and psdzdata files v4.57.12, I have unpacked the psdzdata files to my D drive due to a lack of space on my C drive, I made sure the file directory in E sys is correct, being D:\data\psdzdata, but whe i plug my enet cable in and try to connect to the car no list of available vehiles shows up. I also get the tab up saying "directory doesn't contain E sys directories, do you want to create them?" I then click yes and it says the directories could not be created. Do my psdzdata files and e sys files need to be on the same drive??  It's safe to say I am confused as fuck and any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Just copy folder data from C to D drive and put full psdzdata inside. Then in Esys > settings>option >program = choose D:\data

Do you mean folder data as in the E sys folder stuff so that everything is on my D drive?

Yes. Folder data that you have in C:\ move it to D:\ and put psdzdata full inside folder data. Then in Esys settings give the path D:\data
You can also create a Mlink for psdzdata from D to folder data

you need only two folders on your drive D with data & data_swi

for example mk link, open with cmd Administrator Rights and paste the links
befor you can create the MKLinks, you have to delete the folders (data and data_swi) in the ISTA PSdZ folder, also in E-SYS (C:\Data\).

Once before, never copy & paste the psdz files after unzip, only cut & paste the files.

Folder data : Light files
Folder data_swi : Programming files

For my example i have unzip the SP files in folder D:\ISTA\PSdZ\ , you need to change this to you file folder.

For old ISTA:
mklink /d C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\PSdZ\data D:\ISTA\PSdZ\data

mklink /d C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi D:\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi

For newer ISTA
mklink /d C:\Program Files\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\PSdZ\data D:\ISTA\PSdZ\data

mklink /d C:\Program Files\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi D:\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi

For E-SYS
mklink /d C:\Data\psdzdata D:\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi\psdzdata
