        The vin of the car is: 5L73313
Here is the version: NBTevo_O18184l    

I'm trying to do Carplay+VIM+FULL SCREEN


His Map is working, but his carplay is saying: Error msg “unable to establish connection”

any idea what I am doing wrong btw this is my first USB Carplay being done. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or not. Please help Thanks a lot

Hello,

Are you able to add the iphone to the Evo and use it as bluetooth ?
If yes, try to remove it from idrive system, and connect it back.
Enable Carplay at iphone side, and give it a new try.

So you're saying if the vehicle is not equipped with WiFi antenna it will not work?

It may or may not work properly without a WiFi antenna. Obviously, it's better to have one.
OEM WiFi antenna (part number: 61116816435) costs around 50$. Else you can buy a non OEM one for around 10$.
But as said previously, you need to make sure first that the iphone connects correctly to the EVO, before trying Carplay.

Check with ista the error codes.

If you have wifi areal antenna error in memory... do you need to add the wifi antenna.
