Istep upgrade CarPlay weirdness

Hey All,

I have a bit of a weird situation occurring that I can't quite work out!

I have updated my F13 to a much newer istep  F010-17-03-505 to F010-23-07-530, before the upgrade carplay was working absolutely fine, no issues at all (albeit only half a screen!). Following the update it now doesn't work at all, well, sort of.

My iPhone can connect to the car, is prompted to join CarPlay which you can accept and then... nothing happens. If you reset the HU, my iPhone will connect as if it is on bluetooth (but weirdly if you make a phone call it says 'carplay' as one of the options on my phone).

The arrow in the bottom left on the main screen to bring up the CarPlay screen has gone. Have tried repairing and rebooting, disabling and enabling full screen car play etc but running out of ideas.

Hi Chemicalee,

some say that it is crucial to delete all mobile devices from the vehicle and also the vehicle from the 
bluetooth list of the phone. Then reconnect selecting the CarPlay Option during the process.

Did you try this?

Of course you did - interpreted repairing wrong (not in the meaning of re-pairing)
Not a native speaker…

Another idea: did you check all dependencies in E-SYS when flashing?
Hopefully you did not solely flash the HU…
