ICOM clone recommendation

I have had an ICOM on order from my BMW dealer for ages. I have no idea when they'll get it in stock, but apparently there's some sort of global shortage or whatever. Seeing as it's taking forever, are any of you gurus using a clone or OEM device? Specifically I am looking for something that has a proven record.

I am very grateful for any suggestions.
