Gear Position Indicator in HUD

I am looking for a way to show the gear indicator in the HUD on an F36. I expect this is not a coding option, but would require actual software programming changes. Does anyone have the ability to get into the actual program to make changes...?

I have seen on other forums that this is shown on M cars, so the actual software coding must be available somewhere... How can it be placed in an F36 car?
