Faulty Fuel Pump Unit

Hey everyone!

I have a problem with my fuel system where the car shuts down when the fuel gauge is half (and the fuel tank is 50%)

First, bought a new fuel filter, fuel pump unit and installed it.. problem is gone for 1 month
after that time the issue happened again (maybe because of bad aftermarket fuel pump unit), having my fuel on half tank = shutdown so I always fuel a fourth to avoid this issue...

Second, When I try to fuel it up to the MAX, the fuel is only filling the fuel pump side (I think) because I keep filling the car and the hose isn't filling (like its a full tank but its not really full), therefore I press the fuel hose slowly to fill it... 
can you please tell me why is this happening?


I have a E60 523i N52, right-side fuel intake.

Try replacing the module, I had the same problem but on the e60 diesel. Good luck
