Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Sound Amplifier Replaced - No LED Speaker Lights now
#1
Hello,

On my 2017 750i, I recently swapped out the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Sound Amplifier with a used functional unit.  The sound is back now and the "Warning - No Tones" error on the display is gone.  However, I noticed the Ambient lights on all speakers and the Sky Lounge are now off.  The menu checkbox options are still available in the Internal Lighting settings but I am not able to check the option.

I used Bimmer Utility to code the amplifier to the vehicle.  BU automatically identified the un-coded amplifier, applied a CAFD, and saved it to the AMPT ECU.

Searching forums and the web, I have come to understand that the CAFD file should have the following options to activate the ambient lights after an amplifier replacement but I do not see these entries in the BU Editor or E-Sys:
  • Lautsprecher_Beleuchtung
  • Interior_Lighting_Speaker
  • Speaker_Ambient_Lighting
  • Licht_Lautsprecher

If anyone actually has the CAFD file with these options, would you mind sharing it?

Any assistance would be appreciated in to identify what may e the issue.

Note:  The amplifier failed due to water drops coming down from the left side trunk trim plastic clip during a rainstorm.

Thank you,

Hi the answer may come a little late! But have you re-addressed the lighting? This must be done after replacing the amplifier, since the speaker lighting is controlled by the amplifier. Unfortunately, the service function can only be found in ISTA if the amplifier is marked as exchanged there.
