Yap you can if  u flash your  EGS to Alpina gearbox

G16 850i has same Gearbox as Alpina B7, 8HP76. So i think it is possible.

Check on xHP website if there is a support of your car.
After EGS flashing you can see gear displayed on your dashboard.

How do you code it on a 530d F11 without xhp software? Or is it only for 535/550?
I have tried the xhp software, with little to none difference in driving experirence, but i did get the gear indicator. But it is not in my car anymore, but i wolud like the indicator again.

Alpina Software is not for car, alpina software is for egs/gearbox. 530d F11 has same egs as 535d and 550d. So it is possible.
...but 530d egs can get special software from alpina-japan.

I thought it was a different gearbox in the 530, but apparently not.

How do I flash it then? I have the newst PSDZData, so it should include aloina software.

I read somewhere that you need to change production date of the vehicle before it works.

You don't need any changes on cars vo or whatever. You only need to flash the right software.

So no need to add 920, 9XA to VO?

So how would you do it then?

You can add this options to vo for calculate TAL for flashing but DON'T write to car.
920 and 9XA the right options for 535d and 550d but for the right one on 530d you need more knowledge.
