cas3+ OL15Y help
#1
Hello,

After using VVDI BimTool Pro I had to update the cas3+ inorder to generate new key via OBD, flash failed and cas was no longer working, I took it off and read the flash + EEPROM, can someone tell me and if possible provide me with what I need to get it working again? E90 320d 177hp. No ignition, can't connect to car, since it doesn't take the key.

I am unable to attach them to the thread, so here is a google drive link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dWNPwpm...sp=sharing

Late answer. Here is a solution. Probably it is already fixed by them

Hey man - I know this thread is pretty old but it looks like nothing has changed with Bimtool Pro in 4 years and its still bricking CAS modules on downgrade.

Can I ask how you actually recovered this? I have tried using the inbuilt recovery tool but it says my CAS version is not supported. I've tried flashing back with WINKFP but cant get my ICOM to connect to the car because the key is no longer accepted.

I don't have a dump of my CAS prior to it failing either - I have a kess, ktag, r270+ and the bimtool but still not sure how I can recover it, VVDI support are telling me I now have to buy a Multi Prog - Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

much faster way is use 2nd hand cas, just renew, write ISN from ecu to cas and program new keys.
aftermarket keys cost like 10 euro each, 2nd hand cas2/3 is also 40e.

Hi gentlemen.

Is bimtool pro still worth buying? I am after programmer like this for keys and units etc. Or is there better alternative?

Thanks
