BMW 1 Series E87 118d non ecu connection bimmercode
#1
Hello, the battery of my BMW 1 Series E87 118d discharged after being parked for a long time. I removed the battery to charge it on a home mains charger. Since then, the car has started without any problem, but I have lost my reversing radar and I can no longer connect my Android car radio to the steering wheel controls. When I plug my Bluetooth and WiFi connectors into the ODB, torque tells me connection to the elm wiki ok but that it cannot connect to the ecu. Do you think the problem is with the ECU and that it needs to be replaced, please, or is it possible to reset it?

with such little information , I doubt you will be able to solve your problem.

you need proper tools for example oscolliscoop and Multimeter to check voltage and can-bus signals , so if you don't have any of those , I advise you to take the car to someone who knows how to troubleshooting your problem.

To me , sounds like either FRM or JBE problem after your installed the battery again in the car, but it could be something else.

You can start with checking the Fuses.
