SSH opened but unable to connect

Hi,

I`m currently trying to learn how to change the icons on ID5/6 evo units but I`m running into the issue where with the SSH port opened (B7F8E5 error is present leading me to believe it is correctly functioning) I`m getting a connection timeout error from both winscp and putty at 169.254.199.119. I`m not quite sure what i may be doing wrong, my guess is because the headunit is a retrofit and not factory its missing the OABR connection with the rest of the vehicle and so maybe the address is genuinely unreachable or because its retrofitted I need to be targeting the old NBT address and not the EVO address as maybe the gateway doesn`t know that the EVO`s ip is reachable? The last two senarios i could think of is either i have a ZGW gateway shutdown that wont clear or the method at which the headunit was retrofitted and how the SSH port was opened and left open from that is incomplete somehow (not sure how that would be the case since to what i gather its just a single flag of SYS_DEBUG 0 or 1 but idk.

I managed it figure it out and my original guess was correct where because it was a retrofitted unit which was done without a OABR adapter the headunit isnt reachable as technically that ip isnt connected. So for anyone who runs into this issue you just need a OABR connector that moves 4 wires over from the main quad lock over to the OABR connector. Then SSH over 169.254.199.119 should establish assuming the SSH port is open.
