Joining this forum because I would like to learn coding and retrofitting, both for myself and to can do some coding for people around in my area.

I have a BMW X3 (F25) 2014 2.6 base with 130K kilometres.

Almost every time I drive a long run (over 50 km) on the highway my check engine turn-on... always the code P2096... and disappear 2 or 3 days after... I either delete the code with my odds reader or wait 2 or 3 days.  This code will never show below 100 km on in the city.

I changed my gaz cap already but I still get the check engine code... it appears like it only happens when I run a long period at speed over 75 kilometres ( I usually use the cruise control at 115 km).  Again, this code only shows after the second time I drive on the highway... I can drive on the highway 5 thousand kilometres without a code but if I stop to go pee and restart the car it will show right away (second key or restart).

I also changed one oxygen sensor at the BMW dealer, same problem on the second key on the highway and the dealer also tried to change the second oxygen sensor (we have two from what i understand) same problem.  After spending 750$ for a oxygen sensor and time, same problem !!!!

Any ideas?

Hi guys, maybe anyone have solution for issue with CIC.

My colleague come to me with his "new" e90 (he buy around month ago).
One of guy want to update maps in his car to newest one.
He was on usb stick latest one for Motion (2020) and fsc code from bimmertool.com
Here's story what I know:
-after place usb in glove box info about new maps are showed
-there was info that update will start when car will be in move and he push Start Update and fsc code
-after few meters of driving CIC was restarted and now when he access to Navigation, system is stuck all times on message: "Starting Navigation System"
and USB in glove box have no reaction (cannot update map again).
Other option from CIC working perfectly.


Does anyone have solution how to fix that?

I am glad to join and be part of a community of BMW fanatics and coders. I drive a 2015 328i and look forward to do all kinds of upgrades and coding to it. 

So far, I have built my own power supply, stable at 13volts. Also, I have watched many videos of ÎŜ†Ä-d and ėšÝ§ and can do basic programming. I look forward to learning more and contributing.

other question what kind charger you are using for programing? 
on G30 2017 with new i-level update will be android auto or it's only for ID7 ?
