ISTA-D ECU not responding

I have been restoring a 2007 X3 (E83) N52 3.0si. I've finally got ISTA reinstalled and running. When I try connecting to the car with a K+DCAN cable ISTA is only able to connect to the DME and EGS all the other ECUs show as red (not responding) or grey. Any pointers on how I can resolve this issue? or what the problem is?

For anyone else that runs into this the issue was I used a DCAN only cable. I got another cable that supports K-Line. With that cable all the ECUs that showed as red and most that showed as grey are accessible. The only things I can't interact with are the DME, ESG, and ESG_0X32.

Does anyone know of a way to access all the E8x series modules with a single cable. The production date on my vehicle is 03/2007
