USA airbag to EU airbag FDL coding
#1
Wink
Hi,

Does anyone know if these FDL codes are correct, when switching from USA airbag steering (dual stage) to EU airbag steering (single stage)?

ECU ACSM or ACSM2:
3000 :
AIRBAG_FAHRER_STUFE_2 - nicht aktiv
ADAPTIVER_AIRBAG_FAHRER_VENT - not active

I tried on F48, but without success.
F48 2019, running esys+ 3.8 , esys 3.35 I tried to read the 3000 folder but most of the folders in the 3000 file were renamed to : “ZUENDKREIS_xx”
which makes it impossible to determine where the parameters mentioned above are located.

Thanks for advice

For the airbag in the steering wheel, output circuit 16 is not_active and output circuit 22 is not active

Airbag US to ECE
ACSM Module
3000 Ausstattungsflags

Airbag_Fahrer_Stufe_2 = nicht_aktiv
Adaptativer_Airbag_Fahrer_Vent = nicht_aktiv
Airbag_Beifahrer_Stufe_2 = nicht_aktiv
Adaptativer_Airbag_Beifahrer_Vent = nicht_aktiv

after coding lock airbag with ista

The f48 does not say "Airbag_driver_stage_2 = not_active
Adaptive_airbag_driver_vent = not_active
Airbag_passenger_stage_2 = not_active
Adaptive_airbag_passenger_vent = not_active"

it says in places only ignition circuits! Then the circuits I specified would have to be changed in order to code the airbag from 1 to 2 stages and vice versa

Can you develop a bit on how to lock airbag with ISTA and what does that mean exactly ? In addition, as per the picture i joined, it is impossible on that car to read " Airbag_Fahrer_Stufe_2" or any other as the folder name are all set to "ZUENDKREIS_XX"

So coding with esys might not be sufficient ?

I didn't understand what you are talking about, can you develop ? You mean the circuit at the pin connector of the airbag ? Yes, indeed stage 1 has 2 pin while stage 2 has 4 pin, but for me i eared that coding was sufficient to solve this issue

Simply code
output circuit 16 not active
and
output circuit 22 is not active

I have already written above

Ah ok. So ZUENDKREIS 16 and 22 to not active ? How did you discover that?
