BMW E90 coding ESYS activation

You can't use E-Sys for the E-series. E-Sys is only for F-Series and onwards.

That explains a lot.

So what should I use on my BMW 1 from 2009, ISTA many or some other tool?
I just want to update the maps.

For E series you need BMW Standard Tool Package + SpDaten.

Coding can be done using NCSExpert (in package)

For map update (assuming you have CIC), you need fsc code.  You can generate by yourself (just look on forum for specific topic), or pay someone to do this instead of you
