Taking video with Carplay on Snapchat/Instagram

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone knows has a fix/modification on how to still have the speakers working while taking a video with snapchat or instagram. If I have music playing at the same time and start to take a video while carplay is on, the sound comes out really low and I think it's because it switches to the car microphone so it cuts everything. Is there a way to change the code somewhere. With bluetooth it works fine but carplay it cuts the volume by 90%.

No, unfortunately it is not possible, the problem is that it is not BMW's fault (otherwise it would be the same via BT), it is due to Carplay (iPhone) because Carplay takes over the audio control directly as soon as it is connected to the vehicle and unfortunately there is no setting on iPhone that changes it.

Got it makes sense, the only hack I found is to press the picture button until it takes a video and the sound remains.
