Hi empireauto.
You cannot change VIN using INPA. Instead of that, use WinKfp to change VIN and reflash your DSC module (use correct zusb number).
Be sure that you have latest spdaten for e90 (it will be e89 family).
According to your second part of post....There is no possibility that you change VIN's in e60 using INPA , software is only for diagnostic.
E89 = e89/e90/e91 etc... is correct
