2020 X6 xDrive40i (G06) — KOMBI blank/dead, ISTA+ shows responding, no display
VIN-confirmed via ISTA+ 4.56.30 over ENET, direct connection, no issues. DKOMBI shows up in control unit tree as present, not flagged "not responding," not in fault/abort state per the legend.
Ran "Call up ECU" on KOMBI directly — comes back "responding properly." So it's alive on the bus (K-CAN), just not driving the physical display.
Found and ran Delete Transport Mode / ABL FUB service function — completed with no errors. Cycled ignition off/on after. Still no display output.
Currently re-running ECU test to check fault memory post-cycle.
Since KOMBI communicates fine but shows nothing, is this more likely a display backlight/power circuit fault (not fixable via ISTA) vs. a coding mismatch needing reprogram? Has anyone seen transport mode deletion not resolve a dark cluster on G06 platform? Next step would be full target-vs-actual programming comparison if fault memory comes back clean — wanted to check if others have hit this exact symptom first.
