can you disable regenerative braking?

I have a 2023 530e plug in hybrid. When I am not on the accelerator, the brakes kick in to regenerate the battery. On my old 2018 530e, it only did this some times, or at least there seem to be times when it would cost, like going down hill or even uphil, but this new car seems to have it on all the time.
Is there a way to change this?
Thx

Help with NFC and WCA digital key and wireless charging pad

My 2023 530e came with the NFC digital key, but no wireless charging. I bought a replacement pad that has both NFC and WCA wireless charging.
When I installed the replacement pad, wireless charging worked instantly, but not the digital key. When I would try and make my iphone a digital key, i would get error messages.
the KeyCard seemed to work, which was great! but, no luck at all with making my phone a digital key. I contacted BMW connected drive support, and they gave me instructions to update the data and reset the system. no luck.
I put the original NFC pad back in, and it works normally again.
What am I missing? Is there something on Bimmer Untility that I can do?
Something strange: When I launch Bimmerutility, and look at the FA, under SALAPA it shows NFC control 8wg as unchecked. also 4VC BMW carpad wireless charing is unchecked, Telephony with wireless charing 6NW also unchecked.
This is the default state, and the NFC digital key works normally.
That's what I got for info so far. Anyone have ideas? Before I just put the replacement (combo) unit back in and start randomly checking things, I thought I'd check here so I don't break anything.
It's possible that the part I bought on ebay is the wrong pad, even though it "kind of" worked right away with no coding.
Does this need to be initialized? How do I do that?
Thanks!

Since owning a BMW, driving has become a genuine leisure activity. I find that I can now make the most of my time on the road to immerse myself in captivating stories. It doesn't matter whether I'm going on a long journey or just taking short trips, I always have an enjoyable thriller hörbücher with me. It has been truly amazing how the words of the authors have inspired my thinking and transported me to unfamiliar worlds. Thanks to the superior sound quality of my BMW, stories come to life, allowing me to fully engage in every driving moment. This experience adds a whole new dimension to my car, and I have always looked forward to getting behind the wheel and diving into my favorite stories. Whether it's crime fiction, fiction, or non-fiction, the selection of audiobooks is almost endless, offering something to suit every mood and taste. This turns every trip into a special experience that I don't want to be without.

G20 03/23 - AS/S memory function not working

Hey all, wasn’t sure if anyone had some ideas. I have a 2022 G20 330ix and one of the first things I coded was the AS/S memory, originally with BimmerCode, and most recently with BU/ėšÝ§. However with the most recent software update, 03/23, I’ve lost the ability to make any noticeable difference whether I code it on or off. It always appears to be with no memory. Switched it from 01 back to 00, and back again. No luck. Here’s where I make the adjustment:
DME_BAC2
- CAFD_00002742
- TCM_MSA_MEMORY - Werte = 01
Anyone have this same issue, or any suggestions?

Hello everyone, this looks like a very international flavoured version for the BMW forum. This is my second BMW, the first being an E30 IS. a nice little two door that served me well, but a military career at that time, it seemed more prudent to have a bike.
I rejoined the ranks again picking up an E53 11/2006 Diesel. This was mostly for the towing purpose, but it has turned out to be a great car all around, well until something goes "FUBAR" and that seems to be the same thing almost every time. Turbo leaks and EGR valve failure.
About me, just clicked over the 60yr mark, did thirty years in the military, served on active service in both Iraq and Afghanistan. My time was at the beginning of these futile wars, 2001- 2004. I've been shot at, blown up, had holes put in me and survived. Medically discharged with severe PTSD, depression and anxiety as well as ongoing surgery still. People ask me would I do it again in hindsight... I look them straight in the eye, and say without a word of a lie..."Not on your effing life"! Let the bloody politicians fight it out, the dirty mongrel basket cases.
So, if I should say, or comment at times about something, please do not be offended. I never lie, the truth really does hurt and people do not like that. But lying as we often see, like now, misleads us and nobody really knows what is real or not any more.
I do most of my own repairs now, the last two time the workshop took my money and within a thousand kilometers I have had something fail that should have been picked up during the service check. I am surprised at ow easy the X5 is to work on, well with the exception of the Turbo pipe work. That has got to be the worst layout of pipework I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
I hope I can pick up info and I will share what I am doing and learning as well.
Jeff
