NBT EVO ID4 to ID6 FLASH and carplay activation
Posted by: BMWE60user - 09-27-2025, 06:18 PM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (1)

Hi! I’ve recently bought a 2015 BMW F30 with NBT EVO and I figured this would be such a pity to not update it to ID6 and enable Apple Carplay. I know that there are tools that you just pay and do their job to update and activate but I want to learn and keep it as cheap as possible. I know much about coding and retrofits but on E series, not much experience with coding F or G. I just do the wiring for them, already did ACC and front SWW install on a G30, ACC on G20, Icam on many but I’m not there with the coding yet so this is why I’m asking about it here. From what I know I might be able to change VO to 03/18 for the car to update to nbt evo ID6 but I don’t want to brick the unit. I need info on updating and after that I think I will need an FSC but i’ve seen a seller on the forum for that.

I’ve uploaded a photo of my NBT system data
Thanks for your patience

Hi All,

10 year owner of a 2010 E89 Z4 35i that I am looking to maintain into old age - including keeping it up to date and tuning where appropriate.

Have used ÏÑÞÀ for years to diagnose problems but am looking to get latest flashes applied and tweak things - I will ultimately need a new steering rack (or at least will need the control module rebuilt/repaired) but otherwise continue to love driving this car despite the amount of work I have to put into it.   Cool

Rich

Bit of help - KAFAS2 FSCs
Posted by: rpg - 09-25-2025, 11:17 AM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (2)

Hi all,

Car is 2016 F31 with factory KAFAS2 and 5AG (lane change warning) and 5AS (driving assistant).

Purchased an OEM FSC for SLI (8TH) and coded KOMBI, HU, and KAFAS2, then loaded new FSC. All works well there, FSC accepted, and SLI working fine.

But FSC 0xBE (front collision warning) is 'not available' but I definitely had it before (I recall the warning happening in the vehicle!). All options are still in the menu in the car (early, medium, late) and I believe it is part of option 5AG.

0xBF (pedestrian detection) FSC is still accepted, working fine.

I don't really want to test front collision warning in vehicle for obvious reasons, so I can't confirm it works or not, but if FSC is not available I'm assuming it is not. If relevant, I flashed KAFAS2 and all other modules to latest FW last March, without issues.

I have searched my backed up FSCs but I think I only backed up FSCs from the HU.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Maybe I need an OEM FSC repair kit?

US to EU conversion BMW G20
Posted by: mrowka98 - 09-23-2025, 10:34 AM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - No Replies

Has anyone here done a US-to-EU conversion and can offer some advice? I've changed the region and language in the car, and I'm currently in the process of routing the rear light wiring and coding the turn signals and fog lights. I have ėšÝ§ 3.40 and Bimmer Utility. Is there anyone who could offer some advice?

  BDC Errors After 5AS/5DF Retrofit (2023 X3, ID7 03.25.10)
Posted by: PeterLee - 09-23-2025, 07:15 AM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - No Replies

Hi guys,

I have a 2023 BMW X3 with ID7 (03.25.10). I retrofitted 5AS + 5DF hardware before and everything worked fine after coding.

After a system reset, I re-activated using the BimmerUtility app. Now my BDC keeps showing two permanent errors:

  • 030411:  Steering wheel type error
  • CF2101:  Paddle shifter signal missing (my car doesn’t have paddles, only upgraded steering wheel buttons for ACC)

Does anyone know what to code or change so these errors disappear? Any tips would really help.

Thanks in advance!
